The quality of service here is absolutely atrocious; we had entered the lobby where we asked for a table. We were told to sit down by a lady, not at a table, on one of the lobby chairs. We waited for around 10 minutes, where we had to remind them that we were waiting for a table. The man at the reception, then went to prepare the table and call us over. Once we had sat down, we were handed the menus and then the waiter had left us! No question of drinks! We had waited another 15 minutes for our waiter to come back and he didn't, so we decided to walk out and leave.

Overall, if you are a person who likes quality of service, then I do not recommend this restaurant. I cannot say what the food was like, but I have heard from friends that it is okay. You're better off ordering a takeaway from this restaurant. I would recommend "Kismet", their table service is 10 times quicker (30 seconds).

The staff at Saffron have no care for the quality of service they provide to their paying customers. Like other reviews have said, they want your money and then you can leave. Saffron's Management should do their best to rectify their staff's behavior.

    REPLY TO OWNER:
"Restaurant have always had a waiting area on reception where mostly customers have to sit and wait if they don't have a booking". I know how a restaurant works, and I was expecting to sit in the lobby because the front did look full. I am NOT complaining about this. It was more of the attitude your staff gave to us. No way did your waitress use any manners at all, and it was not a request. She told us to sit "over there". In addition, you say how you did not have any tables full for the next 50 minutes, we were not told this when we arrived. Do your waiters and waitresses' not know their greeting procedures? Incase you didn't know, you welcome them to your restaurant, ask them how many people are eating, tell them the wait is 50 minutes, and then *politely* ask them to take a seat in the lobby. Do not *tell* them. Like you said "request" them. When we were seated, we were not welcomed with "would you like any drinks?". Even though you say "We give a few mins to the customers to decide what they are having we don't rush them out customers come to eat and relax.". Although this is true to ordering food, most customers know what drink they want or usually have.

You claim the restaurant was packed, yet where I was sitting I could see two or three tables clear. Does this excuse for poor quality of service and the attitude from the staff? No.

At no point did I say that a 30 second seating should happen. I was making a reference to how long we waited in comparison to another restaurant. You are twisting words. And yes, I know there was some exaggeration in my review, mostly out of frustration.

No where, have you accepted for the poor attitude your staff have given to our party. Unless you want to respond with a good reason why, then you should own up to it. Do not claim that you are the best restaurant in the area, when your the only restaurant North of Water Orton Road. To add, a good restaurant would have better spelling and grammar than what you're giving me. Your menu even has a spelling mistake on it!
Responses with "mins", "incovenince", "restaurnat", and "experince". And the spelling mistake on the menu should say "Dietry Restriction". You should also work on your sentence structure.

"We have requested you to wait in the waiting area your table will be ready soon which makes you quite upset why i have to wait Dear Respected sir pubs have different way as soon you walk in jump what you see empty, restaurants work different way without bookings on weekends waiting time is 45min or more sometimes." Struggling of what your intent was with this sentence. Maybe a sarcastic comment?

One thing we can take away from all this, is that your response was childish. Also, I'm not quite sure that people get upset over waiting? I'm a patient person, but not patient for those who have a poor attitude towards their customers.
